BE LG Dishwasher Error Code
DIYBubble error.
What does BE mean?
Using regular handwash or liquid dishwashing detergent creates excessive bubbles that can leak outside, so the dishwasher displays bE as leak protection. Oversudsing can also come from using too much detergent or certain eco-type detergents.
Common causes
The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:
- Too much detergent, which produces excess suds
- Using the wrong type of detergent
- Water collecting where it should not be (a leak or the base tray filling)
What to check first
- Use only powder or solid-type dishwasher detergent, never handwash/liquid dish soap.
- Empty the dishwasher and operate it without detergent to confirm foam/bE persist.
- To reduce foam: set rinse aid to L0, place a bowl with 200-300 ml of milk in the middle of the upper rack, and run a Normal cycle;
- repeat if foam remains, then restore the rinse aid setting.
When to call a professional
If bE is displayed without oversudsing occurring, request service.
