What does HC4 mean?

The wash may complete but drying fails or ends early, with unusually hot air at the door vent just before stopping and beeping.

What to check first

  1. Ensure nothing covers the exterior vent and that loading inside the tub is not pressed against the inner vent outlet so hot air can move freely.

  • Never reach into the drum or pump area while the appliance is running.
