H2O Whirlpool Dishwasher Error Code

DIY

What does H2O mean?

The dishwasher is not detecting incoming water. Whirlpool says to verify the water supply is on and the supply hose is not kinked, then press Start to resume the cycle.

Common causes

The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:

  • A kinked, bent, or pinched hose
  • A water valve or tap that is not fully open

What to check first

  1. Ensure the water supply valve to the dishwasher is turned on;
  2. check the water supply hose for kinks;
  3. once corrected, press Start so the dishwasher attempts to fill and resume the cycle.

When to call a professional

If the dishwasher still does not fill after checking the water supply, schedule service.
