E18 Bosch Dishwasher Error Code

DIY

Water flow problem.

What does E18 mean?

The water level is too low or water is not being pumped correctly; inlet flow should be about 10 L/min.

Common causes

The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:

  • A blocked or dirty filter
  • A kinked, bent, or pinched hose

What to check first

  1. Switch off and unplug the appliance;
  2. check the inlet and outlet hoses aren’t trapped or kinked;
  3. disconnect the inlet hose, open the water supply into a bucket to confirm about 10 L/min flow, then reattach;
  4. remove and clean the detachable inlet-hose filter under the tap.

Safety

  • Unplug the appliance before opening the filter, pump cover, or drain area, and expect water to come out.
  • Close the water supply and unplug the appliance before disconnecting hoses.

When to call a professional

If the fault persists after the hose/filter checks, book an engineer.
