LC Samsung Dishwasher Error Code

Inspect first

The leak sensor has detected moisture.

What does LC mean?

United States

The dishwasher turns itself on, will not turn off, and keeps trying to drain the water away. On Waterwall models it can also mean the water reflector is blocked.

United Kingdom

The unit won’t start or stops mid-cycle, drains continuously while beeping, and won’t accept a new program - a leak/moisture fault; water may be visible under or around the unit.

Common causes

The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:

  • Debris or a blockage in the water path
  • Water collecting where it should not be (a leak or the base tray filling)

What to check first

  1. Inspect the door area and usage conditions, confirm only dishwasher detergent was used, remove debris from the door gasket and bottom lip and ensure racks or tall items are not distorting the door seal, check the toe-kick area for puddles or water marks, and verify the sink or disposal is not backing water into the dishwasher.

Safety

  • Unplug the appliance before draining water, and keep the water away from the power supply.

When to call a professional

If the error persists after drying and the checks above, contact Samsung service.
