4C Samsung Dishwasher Error Code

DIY

What does 4C mean?

United States

The dishwasher is not getting water at the pressure or temperature it needs (water supply error).

United Kingdom

The cycle may start with a brief drain but little or no fresh water enters, leaving the tub dry and stopping the cycle (water supply fault).

Common causes

The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:

  • A kinked, bent, or pinched hose
  • A water valve or tap that is not fully open
  • Debris or a blockage in the water path
  • A frozen water line, hose, or drain

What to check first

  1. Verify the water supply valve is open, the supply line is not kinked, frozen, or blocked, and that hot water temperature and pressure meet requirements (roughly 120-149°F and 20-120 psi).

When to call a professional

If the code persists after the checks above, contact Samsung service.
