The washer detected too many suds and adds a suds-reducing cycle (about 2 hours longer).

What does SUD mean?

If too many suds are detected during spin, the washer stops to help prevent leaking.

Common causes

The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:

Too much detergent, which produces excess suds
Using the wrong type of detergent

What to check first

Use HE detergent and do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended amount;
fill liquid detergent only to the Max line and use the liquid detergent cup correctly.
