The washer is not detecting the correct amount of incoming water (low fill).

What does F8E1 mean?

The display may also show “Lo FL”, “LF” or “No Water Detected”.

Common causes

The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:

  • A kinked, bent, or pinched hose
  • A water valve or tap that is not fully open
  • A blocked, kinked, or incorrectly installed drain hose or standpipe

What to check first

  1. Turn both hot and cold water faucets fully on;
  2. check that the inlet hoses are not kinked and that no anti-flood devices are in the water line;
  3. press Power to run the drain routine if the door is locked;
  4. check the drain hose installation (it should not extend more than 4.5” / 114 mm into the standpipe);
  5. check the inlet hoses for kinks;
  6. Check the water supply - both faucets on and hoses connected and unkinked

When to call a professional

If water flow is confirmed and the code persists, service is needed.
