What does SUD mean?

The washer detected an over-sudsing condition and stops briefly to let the suds dissipate; the cycle continues automatically afterwards.

Common causes

The manufacturer support page points to these conditions for this code:

Too much detergent, which produces excess suds
Using the wrong type of detergent

What to check first

The appliance will usually fix this on its own;
if it does not, run either an Eco Drum Clean cycle or a 90°C cotton cycle with no detergent or washing load;
if the code remains, check the drain pump filter and clean the water supply hose mesh filter, then run a spin cycle to drain the appliance.

Safety

Unplug the appliance before opening the filter, pump cover, or drain area, and expect water to come out.
